Hello and welcome to the dog days of summer! My pending adopters know it’s been a long season without many pregnancies here at Stellar Rats, but hopefully with some cooler weather, things will start coming up Milhouse and we’ll see several healthy litters in the next few months!
At the moment, we have WTCH-STEL Dandy & BSS Marilyn paired up with WTCH-STEL Razzle, who will be on his way to Precious Pups Rattery after his stud job here. I’d wanted to use tiny Sprout for the pairings but it turns out he might just be *too tiny* to get the job done; which is completely okay but also frankly a little disappointing because it means no babies from him unfortunately. But he’ll stay here as our unofficial mascot and we’ll bask in his adorableness! lol
After the incoming double litter, I’m looking forward very much to a return to the marten line, and hopefully we get some recessive dwarfs from the pairing between STEL Willow x STEL Sunfyre: be on the look out for the ASOIF Dragons 2 litter in September!
All this to say, breeding plans are a bit up in the air at the moment, with a few returns from adopters as well. This week, we welcomed back Bix and Leia due to an unfortunate change in circumstance from their adopter, as well as Lenna & Katniss were returned also.
Bix & Lenna will stay here at the rattery and join/rejoin the program, and Leia & Katniss will be combo’ed to be available for adoption together in a few weeks, once Leia overcomes her URI she’s currently battling.
To that end, I’ll be going down my waitlist shortly as rats become available and reaching out– I’ll have varying ages as rats retire from my program and will be looking for new hammocks, as well as so many babies for reservation coming up soon! Thanks for reading and supporting Stellar Rats!
