Hereunder are the lines and varieties I’m currently working with.
The Marten line: temporarily paused spring 2026, to be heavily outcrossed
- I am continuing my mentors’ beloved marten line via progenitor bucks from the amazing Mystic Mischief Rattery (retired).
- High priority in late 2026 is being placed on assessing the health of the line and later this year, we will be IMPORTING either marten or tonkinese dwarfs from Maryland (a joint project by South River Rattery SRVR & Blue Stone Siamese Rattery BSS), and adding them to the 2 martens I’ve held back from my most recent litters (Buffy & Dragons) in an attempt to stabilize the line.

The House line:
- My ongoing and original project, directly descended from my progenitor pairing and line bred downwards.
- This line has gone through minor aesthetic changes since its’ beginning, and retains the large & robust physique I specifically sought out & amplified into the line with directed breeding. Colours tended to run light– with a directed emphasis on mink and beige with ruby eyes, and agouti. Varieties continue to be berkshire, variberk, variegated, or self.
- Large saucer dumbo ears and big flat head conformation are a signature of this line.
- Heavy influence built from additions brought in via distantly-related WTCH rats, as the line was created with WTCH bucks from the beginning.
- The newest generations however will be an outcross, integrating the BSS Maryland line to save the house line from unintended extinction and reinvigorate the genetics for a new direction.

The Maryland line:
- My newest project, I aim to continue this rexoid line graciously provided by Blue Stone Siamese Rattery in Maryland, USA.
- I’ve assessed and confirmed the line consists of velveteen, satin, lustrous, and teddy rex. Excitement about pulling out the different coat types abounds. The project will be intensive for the remaining 2026 period, with integration into my house line going forward.
- Like the marten line, immediate preliminary goals are a hard shift to keeping dwarf bucks to line-breed to related standard carrier does in an effort to steer towards a solely dwarf line, albeit with more aesthetic variety (variable markings and top ears, and rexoid & standard coats).
