Hello, readers! On this World Rat Day, I have some very exciting things to share.
First, my beloved sweet baby boy STAR Ren is coming back to me after studding a litter over with my partner, Bewitched Rattery! He produced some BEAUTIFUL babies with her girl, WTCH Peach: the Fruits litter! Coming with him will be two of his breathtakingly beautiful daughters, WTCH Damson (Russian blue agouti variegated dumbo) & WTCH Citron (fawn capped silvermane dumbo). They’re just gorgeous and I can’t wait to meet them, raise them, and work with them!! <3 I’ll very likely be breeding daughters to their father when the girls are mature.
Second, Jen at WTCH is also bringing me a hairless girl from her new line she’s started work on perfecting. WTCH Charlie Brown will be a pet-only, as breeding hairless females can come with some issues including poor lactation and/or smothering their babies accidently via skin-on-skin contact without the buffer of mama’s fur coat to keep tiny baby snoots off her belly… I have a deep love of hairless rats, they’re just so ugly & beautiful, weird & wonderful, and I’m so excited to have one again soon! I had a very sweet hairless darling rescue named Beatrice a few years back, and she was my whole world for a time. It broke my heart to lose her – so having Charlie will definitely bring up emotions, I’m sure, but I can’t wait to love her completely.
