Picking up your rats!

If approved for placement of my rats, I will confirm an appointment time & date for you to come pick up your kits from Sherwood Forest Mall (on Wonderland Road), outside the Sherwood Library branch (via the interior mall entrance) and I ask you be respectful of my time.

Ideally, rats should be picked up ASAP after they turn 8 weeks old (for standard size) or 12 weeks old (for dwarfs). I’m willing to hold short-term & work with your schedule- keeping in mind the mall’s open hours, as well- but I will not hold rats indefinitely.

I am no longer allowing people to come to my home.
Delivery may be available locally within London for an additional fee, at my discretion. 

At this time, I am not shipping rats outside London ON.

Waitlists & Reservations!

I employ a waitlist: first come first served in choosing which kits you want to take home.

I will work my way down the waitlist when I contact you and let you know which kits are available to choose from when the kits are 4 weeks old, keeping in mind any specifications you’ve requested. Priority will go to those with announced disabilities, or those looking for an ESA.

My reservation application may be filled out any time, regardless if I have a litter on the ground or not, to place yourself on the waitlist. 

My waitlist is divided first by sex, then by line & variety, if desired.

If there are unreserved kits, they’ll be listed publicly on Kijiji for reservation at 7 weeks old, and the ad will stay up until they’re adopted out.

Return Policy & Refunds

If, for any reason, you need to return your kit/s within one (1) week of your pick-up from me, you will have the option to exchange for another kit if any are available, or I can provide a refund of 50% what you paid me. If you need to give up your rat and return them to me after the first week, there will be no refund. Deposits are non-refundable. 

It is at my discretion if I then rehome the returned rat (after a 21-day quarantine and full assessment). 

Stellar Rattery guarantees that said rats are friendly, have a good temperament and personality. Rats may be returned at any time if they are ever to cause a bite that breaks skin from ill temperament or aggression. An exchange may be offered and given (at my discretion) from any available rats of the same sex, or a reservation may be made for future available rats of the same sex. This is not a guarantee, an exchange is beholden to my discretion at the time. 

In any circumstance that the adopter can no longer care for or house said rats, or if the adopter no longer wishes to keep said rats, they agree to return said rats to Stellar Rattery in London ON and release all ownership. There will be no exchange or refund. Returning said rats will be at the adopters expense and responsibility. In certain situations, pickup arrangements may be made, if agreed upon by both parties.

Pedigrees

Pedigrees are the record of a rats line (family tree). I keep detailed records of all my rats as well as pedigrees.

I only offer pedigrees to other breeders. For pet placement, there is no need for one & like many breeders, I feel that it encourages breeding. I am always open and honest about my pairings, and their parents & history of the line are always posted on my website and social media.

Every rat does come with a sale receipt, with that rat’s specific information noted down.
