May the Force be with you

Hello, May!

My apologies for the gap in getting another post up, things have been hectic as usual with home life & medical issues and updates, but here we go!

This month saw the birth of our 3rd anniversary litter, several weeks behind schedule but it worked out! On May 9, Damsel welcomed 10 beautiful babies; unfortunately three were stillborn and we lost one the first night, which left six tiny little beans. Now they’re 11 days old and so CHUNKY and healthy and developing beautifully! We’re so thrilled and beyond the moon for them: the name theme for this litter is Star Wars II, in honour of Stellar Rattery’s very first litter which was a Star Wars theme as well. Damsel has three boys and three girls, and three with rexoid fur of some kind that the detective in me is really pulling out my hair trying to figure out what they are! While Damsel is simply standard fur, her buck Buddy Holly is theorhetically satin teddy (both rex & velveteen combined), so trying to decipher what his three rexoid children are is an interesting feat, but I am not backing down! XD

In other news, due to personal circumstance my protege Mason has been delayed by several weeks in being able to make the drive to drop of Mr. Meatball, but we’re very much looking forward to when he can come and we can exchange Meatball for our Gourdy & Razzke! Hopefully soon!

We’ve also paired BSS Audrey with WTCH McSir for hopefully many marked babies! I’m crossing my fingers and toes we get some interesting markings beyond simply variegated. I’m so hyped and excited for this next generation of potential rexoid rattos from the lovely Diana, who’s been an invaluable resource and font of education and wisdom! So thankful to know her.

Looking forward to the next coming months with a handful of litters planned and some very exciting developments I can’t wait to share; but tune in next post for more information on those.

This is the Way! x Taylor
